Accessibility
Last updated 15 October 2026
We want ComdKit to work for everyone who needs it. This page says honestly where it stands.
What works
- This website and the legal pages can be zoomed, and they reflow on a phone.
- The app uses large touch targets designed for gloves, high-contrast text on a dark background, and a red night mode.
- Buttons and controls have text labels for screen readers, and pop-up sheets are announced as dialogs.
- Dictation lets you fill orders and report cards by voice.
- Animations on this website stop if your device asks for reduced motion.
What we know isn't right yet
- The app is fixed to the screen size and can't be pinch-zoomed, because pinching moves and zooms the maps. Use your phone's own zoom (iPhone: Settings → Accessibility → Zoom; Android: Settings → Accessibility → Magnification) or larger text settings instead. On Android the app follows your text size.
- The maps are visual. Grids, bearings and distances are shown as text alongside them, but the map itself can't be read by a screen reader.
- Field Kit's landscape screen is designed for a chest rig and hasn't been fully tested with screen readers.
- The colour scheme is dark only.
